As a freelancer, being "free" out of one or two platforms is the best way to get more clients and revenue at the end of the day. You'll get networks and tasks to grow your business if you are into different platforms.

Today, we're going to talk about an alternative platform for freelancers…

Which is Proxify!

What is Proxify?

Proxify is a fast-growing platform that outsources to European-based technology companies.

Let's take a look at what it offers shortly:

·    Offering a completely freelance working environment.

·    Earn foreign exchange income.

·    Work with current technologies.

·    An environment with expert developers in their field.

·    Business continuity.

·    A flexible working environment under control via the Panel of the system.

What Kind of Jobs Can You Find?

Most of the positions are in software development, but there are also positions such as UX and QA. React, Vue, NodeJS, Java, .Net, and Laravel are popular languages or frameworks.

3 Working Types:

· Full time

· Part-time

· Gig

Full Time

As a full-time freelancer, you are expected to work 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. Extra work hours are requested sometimes. It is important that you can also ask for it. Most positions are full-time roles.

Part-Time

In these positions, you must decide how long you and the client work together. It can be an average of 20 hours per week.

Gig

In a Gig, the customer contacts you when they ask for some specific tasks to be done.

How is the Application Process Going?

First of all, you need to apply via https://career.proxify.io/. It is also possible to get access with a reference.

In both cases, various information is requested at the beginning, such as a CV, e-mail address, phone number, and LinkedIn profile. Afterward, a human resources consultant will review your information and invite you for a preliminary interview if the application is appropriate.

The whole process is in English.

Step 1: Interview

Before the meeting, a Calendly invitation comes, and you choose the period that suits you. In the first meeting, you are asked questions about what technologies you use, where you work, and what you want to do.

Then you are informed about what Proxify does and how it works. It would not be wrong to say that this interview is to check your English level evaluation to see if your level is enough or not.

The interview takes about 30 minutes and takes place on Google Meet.

Step 2: Online Exam

If you have passed these steps, an online exam is sent via HackerRank, and you are expected to complete it. You have 5 days to complete the exam. Don't forget that it is a one-time exam.

Step 3: Technical Interview

You are invited to an online technical interview when you pass this step. Here, questions are about the field you are in and general knowledge.

When you complete all the processes, an online contract is sent to you, and the hourly wage you will receive is also stated in the contract.

After signing the contract, a Slack invitation is sent, and the conversations within the company proceed there.

Also, a profile is created for you on Proxify that you can update later. You also have a Community Manager that is seen on the Panel.

How to Get the First Job?

After you are in the system, you are waiting for a suitable position. Although this process is uncertain, it can vary between 2 and 6 weeks. So, if you work full time, it may be more beneficial to have the position determined before leaving your job.

In this process, it is useful to check Slack actively; if there is a position for you, Client Managers contact you there. It is also important to keep your profile up to date in the Proxify Panel.

Also, you can view open positions on the Panel and apply yourself.

First Start-Up Process

Before starting a position, a few meetings are held between you and the client via Proxify. The customer tells you what they do and expect from you, listens to what you are doing, and when you can start.

After the conversations are completed, you start working for the client after a Kick-off meeting. There is a 2-week trial period in the beginning. In this period, if the parties are incompatible, the process may be terminated for the position.

You don't have much to do with Proxify daily; if you have questions, you can contact your Community Manager on Slack. You can also consult your Client Manager with a question about a situation between you and your client.

Since you are an employee of the customer, the work you will do, your meetings, and the tools you will use are oriented to you by the customer.

How does the System Work?

With the first job, your Check-in section turns active on your Panel. You are expected to check in through the Proxify Panel for the days you work, and you must work a minimum of 4 hours on the days you check-in.

You are asked to enter the information about what you will work on that day and how long you will work. The next day, you can update the info of the previous day.

For example, if you have entered that you will work for 8 hours but have worked for 6 hours, you must update it. Here you must enter the hours worked honestly.

What is included in your working hours:

·    Times you wrote code or tests

·    Meetings with customers and team

·    Setups, orientations

·    Bug fixing (the reason does not matter in this case)

·    The conversations that you have made on Slack, Skype, Phone, etc. (Even out of working hours)

·    Breaks up to 10 minutes (nature's call, coffee, etc.)

What is NOT included in your working hours:

·    Meal breaks

·    Conversations and meetings that have been done with Proxify

·    Interviews that have been done before starting work

·    Long breaks over 10 minutes (buying food, going for groceries, etc.)

·    Non-work research, your brainstorming time

How can I receive my payment?

If the last day of the month is after work, you bill for that month. A template is sent to you and you fill in the information such as the hours you work for that month, your hourly wage and the bank that you will receive your payment, and upload it to the system.

Your Community Manager will review and pay that invoice to you between the 10th and 15th day of the following month.

Payments are made through Deel. You can get the payment to your bank account in various currencies as well as to your Payoneer, Revolut, Wise, or Coinbase account.

The Outstanding Features of Proxify

Flexible Working Hours

Proxify offers a flexible working environment and believes it will have better outputs. Here you decide the majority of your working hours. You can work 6 hours a day and 10 hours the next as a full-time employee. Or you can work 30 hours one week and work 50 hours the next.

Communication with the customer is also important. Some customers may ask you to work in certain hours, but I can say that this is not your entire working hour. It doesn't matter if you are based in Europe because most of the companies share the same or close time zones with you

If you want a holiday, you can report it through the Panel. As an advice, it is also useful to talk to the customer beforehand.

Business Continuity

If you are in a full-time position, the customer notifies you and Proxify at the last 3 weeks before the end of the project so that you can start searching for a new position 3 weeks in advance. If you want to quit your job, you have to give notice 3 weeks before, too.

Culture

Proxify removes borders and provides a happy environment for its employees. They believe in the work-life and private-life balance and care about it. It also allows you to communicate with successful people in many fields on the platform. At the same time, it cares about customer satisfaction and expects its employees to pay attention. In this way, Proxify continues on its way as a fast-growing system.

Today, we talked about Proxify, and how to start getting a job and get paid. Especially for European targeting freelancers, Proxify offers a lot.
